I wrote these when I was a kid and they eventually became the songs I contributed to the Ethereal Host album "Exploration of an Open Mind, Strange Sights for Open Eyes." These versions of the songs aren't too far off from the Ethereal Host versions but are still a bit of a re-imagining. The title is a play on the word rootbound, which happens to plants when the roots outgrow the container they're in. I felt like I was rootbound while living in Florida. I’ve transplanted to North Carolina where I have family, visited throughout my childhood, and where some of the bands that got me to play music are from. Here, roots have been found.
